In the heart of the tourist district in Orlando, this existing site housed a gas station, restaurants and retail stores. The developer was looking for a complete rehab of the site, including refacing the existing structures and adding out parcels. The landscape plan included adding new plants to the site to give it a fresh look as well as provide a buffer along the rear of the site.
Requiring landscape architect for signed and sealed drawings, the St. Johns River Water Management District Apopka Office landscape design is based on a Florida Friendly landscape, utilizing native and adapted landscape to minimize water use, create natural habitats and reduce maintenance. The landscape design provides for a beautiful campus, integrating a walking trail with the natural plants.
Utilizing a minimalistic approach due to budget constraints and design considerations, the landscape architect was able to achieve a beautiful landscape design for the Florida Poly Tech Student Development Center. Taking cues for plants in the existing surrounding natural habitat and adhering to the college design guidelines, a landscape design was created to offer the site and expansive use of different plants with low maintenance requirements.
A landscape design was provided for the Okeechobee Tax Collector located in south Florida. The landscape architect met code requirements, used native and adapted plants to minimize water usage and maintenance, while pleasing the client. The completed package included graphic examples of the plants and signed and sealed drawings from the landscape architect.
This kindergarten franchise owner wanted to rehabilitate the sites playground and landscape in Central Florida. A basketball goal was requested as well as play areas for children 3-5 years old, an area for 6–12-year-old, as well as an education center where the children could learn about the local fauna and flora of this Central Florida location.
This 29 acre site was the location for the Polk County Government Center which will offer public services to the residents of Polk County as well as a courthouse. The landscape architect specified plants based on the owner's requests for low maintenance, providing also aesthetic value with the plant choices.
The City of Minneola's new fire department would be built onto the existing Sherriff's Field office. The landscape program consisted of code planting and an outdoor relaxation area for members of the fire department. Utilizing red and orange flowered plants, the landscape architect reinforced the theme of fire to the project.
Polk Countys continued growth in population is reflected in the need for more parking for the local courthouse. The landscape architect provided a plan that fulfilled the counties requirements and complimented the structure.
The Chain of Lakes Building of Polk State College needed a cistern to collect rainwater run off for LEED as well as an appropriate water savings landscape. This was provided to the site by the landscape architect who allowed space for the cistern and specified native and adapted plants.
The Field House and Conference Center Expansion of the Chain of Lakes Complex was an expansive project that required water gardens that filtered stormwater, foundation plantings and parking lot plantings. These landscape design requirements were fulfilled by the landscape architect who issued signed and sealed drawings.
This project was an interior design that required a complete redesign, this client wanted a minimalist look. Working closely with the architect, the landscape architect 's proposal was executed, fulfilling the client's needs.
This Florida public-school project required an outdoor gathering area and a play area for the children. The parameters were accomplished through an amphitheater and sports play courts. The landscape architect specified minimal plants that would provide the landscape design needs of the client.
The conservation of water was the theme for the new Water Administration Building in Lakeland, Florida. Designing in conjunction with the architect's team, a cistern was implemented to reuse rainwater for irrigation for the native and adapted low water use plants that were specified on the site by the landscape architect.
This industrial campus master plan was created by the landscape architect that incorporated an employee wellness program, a fitness trail, exercise stations and fruit trees. Other amenities included an employee outdoor lounge area with a water feature.
This Episcopal Church needed a campus master plan with a rear entrance and an expanded memorial garden. The landscape architect based the memorial garden design on the universally recognized Christian symbol of the fish, the ichthys. Maintenace being a concern, the landscape architect designed for minimal plantings with a limited variety of plants.
Formal planting dictated this design for a homeowner's association in Central Florida. The landscape architect was able to achieve this with a cluster of palms that anchored the flowering magnolias which complimented the pink crape myrtles. This color was directly reflected in the choice of plants that lined the fence offering a foundation planting that did not block the view of the tennis courts.
